Although we are not a school we are helping schools to supply healthier options in vending, every product we put in is low fat, salt & sugar, & majority checked by the Health Edcation Trust. We also help schools to earn from there vending machines

We have registered with the Healthy schools award and our focus is Healthy eating. Our school however does not have a kitchen and all kids bring in packed lunches. I would love some help as to how to start to influence the kids but mainly their parents about how to make their lunch boxes more healthy!
as a nursery we are constantly involving the children to help with making food, be it making biscuits, helping with snack, etc. we are always promoting helthy eating and try and have one topic a year based around helthy eating and what effects it has on our bodies.
as the head 'dinner lady' i try my best to encourage the children to take a choice of veg or salad which is the best i can offer under the strict menu i follow. i know that the kids also learn a fair bit in class but not enough.
